Core Course 3: Lifestyle Redesign® Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation

Core Course 3: Lifestyle Redesign® Program Development, Implementation, and Evaluation is designed for participants to obtain understanding of methods to support Lifestyle Redesign program development. This course will address preparatory tasks for program development including staffing needs, clinician qualifications, and interprofessional collaboration. Processes for program development will include needs assessment, stakeholder communication, and applications of the Lifestyle Redesign intervention framework. Program implementation processes will be addressed to support successful delivery of a Lifestyle Redesign program, including individualization, documentation and billing strategies, and strategies for patient retention. Finally, processes for program evaluation and monitoring will be addressed to assess clinical outcomes and service delivery optimization. Learning activities will provide opportunities for application of concepts toward the development of a Lifestyle Redesign program that serves the diagnosis/ses or populations pertinent to participants’ area(s) of clinical practice.

This course utilizes a paced asynchronous format, meaning that it is designed with a set pacing to ensure each participant completes the course within the designated time frame allotted. Course assignments (“learning activities”) will have suggested deadlines to help participants progress through the course in a timely manner and complete all course requirements by the course closing date of May 9, 2025. Participants should plan to spend 2-4 hours each week reviewing course lectures and completing assignments.
The course is divided into several modules, which are scheduled to release at a set frequency, however, participants will only have access to a given module once the previous module has been completed (e.g. lectures have been viewed, assignments have been submitted). All course requirements (i.e. knowledge checks, learning activity, course evaluation) must be completed by the course closing date of May 9, 2025.

Audience: This is an intermediate level course designed for OT practitioners who are interested in acquiring Lifestyle Redesign certification.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Core Course 1: Foundations of Lifestyle Redesign, and Core Course 2: Lifestyle Redesign Intervention Delivery.
Course Requirements: Participants must successfully complete all knowledge checks, reflection questions, learning activity, and course evaluation for Core Course 3, before progressing to the Lifestyle Redesign Special Topics Courses or OT 638: Mentored Practicum in Lifestyle Redesign.
